THE LOCAL AREA

Hunters Moon is situated in rural Herefordshire and is surrounded by beautiful countryside such as the Forest of Dean and the Wye Valley.

We are ideally located for walking Offas Dyke, The Gloucester Way or The Wye Valley Walk.

It is possible to enjoy many sporting activities including horse riding, mountain biking on dedicated trails, abseiling, canoeing, 4 + 4 off roading, or just enjoy the magnificent scenery of the Wye Valley and the Royal Forest of Dean.

We have O. S. maps, guide books and plenty of local knowledge regarding good places to eat and quiet walks.

Try Tintern Abbey, Clearwell Caves, Forest Railway, Puzzlewood, Try to get out of a maze, National Birds of Prey Centre, Symonds Yat. A working coal mine and the Dean Heritage Centre. The Severn Bore.

Towns to visit - Hay-on-Wye for the odd book or ten. Brecon for the Beacons. Wales for castles. Newent for the Shambles.

There is so much to do in the area guests somtimes forget to just sit and relax in our isolated garden where it is almost impossible to see another dwelling.
